I’ve been so busy that I haven’t even had time to write about all the car stuff I’m doing, so here you go.
I sold Big Six, it was not really a hard decision at all. The car was just too big and drank too much gas to be a daily driver, especially for a poor starving artist like me. I sold it to a guy who’s gonna turn it into a classic taxi, so I’m glad it went to a good home!
The Mustang I bought in Pennsylvania has finally been taken out of storage and brought to a garage where I can work on it, this thing needs a lot of work, including a complete drivetrain, and some rust repair. I’m going to start calling this one “Mach 12". You’ll see why. (some of you might already know why)
My ‘68 Datsun Roadster deserves some love! So I’m finally stripping all the paint off it in preparation to make it the bare metal hot rod (clear coated) that I’ve been envisioning since I discovered that the body was in such bad shape that it would never be perfect. Eventually, I’ll get some nice wheels on this baby, and maybe even think about an interior.
That’s all the news that’s fit to yell about! I’m gonna try and post more on here, I’m fairly bad about keeping up my social media presence. Gotta be more self-centred I guess!

Mach 12, eh? If there isn’t a V12 swapped in there at some point in the future, I’m going to be very upset.
What are you DDing now? I’m still bummed I couldn’t buy the Suburban when you sold it.

I sold Big Six

You’re not throwing a Jag V12 in a Mustang, are you?

No room for it, got 2 projects already.

Good to hear from you - looking forward to seeing progress on the mustang! Shame the big 6 had to go, but sometimes it’s better to be able to focus down instead of being pulled a million different ways (both focus-wise and financially) with different projects.

Damn, sorry you sold Big Six! Not expecting that, but then again, not blaming you...what are you dailying in the meantime? Going to look for a cheap ecobox like us masses? A more classic cheap ecobox perhaps? :O

Yeah, it was just starting to be a car that I didn’t wanna jump into and drive all the time.

Haven’t had a daily for a few weeks, but I’m gonna have to find something...

Thinking of finding another older car?

That’s when you know it’s time for a change - whether it be a change of car, or some sort of big change to the car.

Oh definitely. I’m not wealthy enough to own/lease a brand new or even a 10-year-old car. Since I live in Ontario, Canada, vehicles made before 1988 don’t require emissions tests, therefore it’s easier to register cars that need repair. I much prefer cars where I can do all the work myself.

The boat-like handling and the manual brakes are what finally wore me out.

I kind of liked the manual 4-wheel drums when I daily drove the Chevelle, but it’s super sketchy in modern traffic. As for the boat, at least it’s comfy!
What is replacing it?

Nova Scotia here! I’m guessing something pre-88 is on your potential DD list then?

You bet!

Good luck finding something! :D
Looking forward to hearing about it!

I’ll make a post about it separately :) But it’s big, black, and Bavarian.
